Our Foals
As you know WIN was formed by a group of people who cared about the plight of these horses shown on this website that were literally starved in California, in November we accepted another 150 of mostly Shoshone Indian horses--when they arrived we discovered that about half were pregnant--due to their condition we scrambled to put the weight on while striving not to colic or founder them with too much rich food. The results are 46 babies--7 of them are orphaned foals--but even though it has been a lot of work, a lot of sleepless nights, a lot of visits from the vets and to the vets we have some wonderful babies. Look at the pictures below and I am sure that you will agree. From tragedy and death came life--life full of energy and wonder.
